This is the poster that got everything started. For that story, check out our history section. This poster is just pure fun with creativity, and I am amazed that we are STILL finding hilarious new “days” to have. I think we are closing in on a 900 different days, and this poster represents some of our best.

I’m glad I found your site. I’ve had what I think are the original Have a Day, Have a night posters for a long time but they’ve been used and loved to the point where they’re falling apart. It’s nice to know I can get some new ones for when I go to college. Anyway those are some hilarious posters, keep up the good work. “Have a night that if one wanted to be precise could only be described as verbose”

    Thanks everyone for the replies!

    - “Verbose day” is one of my absolute favorites as well.

    Hi!!

Ruth says: Ey up! i bought this poster and all me friends who saw it ALL wanted one!!! it’s one of the coolest posters i’ve ever bought, thanks MANTIS!

Hidi says- My friend ruth here here owns one of these Amazing posters can ypu name any shops where your posters can be bought in the Chester / Cheshire area?! .

Our favourite (or atleast Ruth’s, anyway)- “Have a completley shitty day”, ’cause it’s ALLWAYS Ruth’s morning mood…

  10. Mantis said,

    on September 7th, 2006 at 3:59 pm

Hidi, I don’t really know of any specific stores that sell our posters. That may seem weird but I have a publisher who takes care of all that stuff for me, and they are super busy so I can’t really ask ‘em little things like that without them getting irritated. But, you can email them yourself: info@aquariusimages.com

Ruth, (that’s my moms name!) yes indeed coffee is the answer.

Yes it’s true, Allposters stopped/sold out of the blue background “Have a Day” posters. We are hoping that they will pick up the new ones. In the meantime, you can purchase the new posters here: http://www.bitwisegifts.com/page/bg/PROD/12027

I have the original “have a day” poster from 1996 and I think it is probably one of the most creative posters I’ve ever seen! My favorite is the “have a demanding day.” The new poster is cool too.

I once had these posters, like others, from long ago and recently decided I must replace them. Thanks for still providing the ‘original’ so that those of who want to stay old school can do so. Have a Day (still love the smiley face, and still remember emailing you about it so many years ago when comments on blogs and websites weren’t existent) and Have a Night got me through many of both.

  16. Simone said,

    on July 13th, 2007 at 4:46 am

I recently purchased both “Have A Day” and “Have A Night” posters. They are very creative. My mom noticed on the “Have A Day” poster that there is a well-hidden “smiley face” in the center of it. Stand back from the poster a few feet and squint your eyes, you will notice it. It’s cool.

I love the “Have a Day” and “Have a Night” posters. I bought them back in High School. I dug them out recently and put them on my office/scrapbooking room wall for a mood lifter. My 2 mo old son loves looking at the contrast in the colors and my 5 year old daughter loves the smilies. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I have always loved these posters and refuse to get rid of them!

My 12 and 14 year old neices also love the calendars and I thought they would make great Christmas gifts. Please let me know as the shopping season is upon us!

Hello, I am a teacher at a Junior High School. We ran across the “Have a Day” poster and wanted to know if we can get a school discount? Several of the teachers would like a copy! Can that be arranged? We too like the original (93) best…but would take either! Is this poster available for purchase?

    THANKS, Jennifer Corona

  43. Mantis said,

    on May 3rd, 2010 at 5:55 am

UNfortunately, we don’t do any discounts for teachers or groups, although I think that is a great idea. Y’know, it’s funny, but I guess the original ’93 version has some quality that makes it the best. I don’t know why, but that seems to be “the one”. :)

The smiley face you are referring to, if you decode it, says “Stand back and squint”. If you do this, you will notice that there is a smiley face within the entire poster made of the individual smileys that are not yellow.. :)

  52. Mantis said,

    on September 21st, 2010 at 4:25 pm

Yeah its just a matter of sales. Unfortunately there aren’t enough people out there that want to buy this calendar. Either that or it’s a matter of my publisher or stores willing to carry it. Either way, it’s out of my control.

  53. Wesley said,

My french teacher has not one, but TWO copies of this (This 2005 one, and the 1993 one with the phrase about cool junk mail, I like the one featured here better) is his classroom, which is ironic in a school environment given phrases on it such as “Have and anal day,” and “Have a completely shitty day.” Needless to say, he is the coolest french teacher on the planet.

I’ve got a variation of this poster hanging up on my door (the main difference is a few of the faces and their locations), and it’s been there for years. I just wanna say, Thank you so much for helping me pick out how my day would end up or have me come home to realize what kind of a day I had based on your poster. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see the ‘Have a Night’ poster available again soon, it’s the one I don’t have.

I first saw the Have a Day & Have a Night posters in middle school ten years ago. You read right, ten years ago. I always made sure I was seated next to them (given my last name, it wasn’t a problem), and they were wonderfully clever. I was reminded of the posters recently and thought how much I’d like to have copies of my own. It’s a shame they’re being discontinued; hope you can bring ‘em back–let me know if/when you do!

Apologies for any errors; this was typed on my mobile phone.

I had the original “Have a Day” poster back in middle school/high school. I used to have all of my friends sign by the day of their choosing. That was about 10 years ago. I still have the poster though it is tattered and kept in a box for safe keeping. One day I would like to get it framed as a keepsake. All of my friends loved the poster and the uniqueness of each day. I used to have the calendars too, and was sad to see I missed the 2010 calendar. I have always loved “Have a Day” and loved having a new “day” every day with the calendar. I wish there would be a 2011 calendar but I will just keep my fingers crossed for a 2012 one. It’s too bad that there is not enough interest because I think “Have a Day” is one of the coolest concepts ever.

In fact I just hung it up in my new apartment tonight, but it’s pretty beat up. I found your site again while I was looking for a replacement (although it looks like the have a night poster has changed from the one I have).

I’ve been waiting for a Have a Day poster for a long time–I remember to check at least once a year. *laugh*

I love the “Have a Day” (Smiley) wall calendars. The last one I was able to buy was 2010. I am always looking for a current one. I couldn’t find one in 2011 or this next year, 2012 yet. Are they still being published? If so, how can I purchase one?? I see from comments that there is also a poster. I would also be interested in the poster.
    Thanks.

there won’t be a calendar for 2012, but I am hopefully going to get that poster and calendar going for 2013. Will let everyone know when that happens via email..

Would love to see another Have a day calendar in 2013. I missed it this year. Please let me know if you publish one next year as I would love to have it. Happy holidays!

    Hey,

as everybody else here, I would love to be informed if the “Have a Day” (preferably the ’93 version) poster/calender are available again!
My sister brought the day and night – posters from Canada (we are living in Germany) but was never willing to pass them on to me – quite understandable; and by the time I was old and smart enough to realize one can use the Internet for shopping it was too late…

I was obsessed with the have a day posters when I was a teenager. I had a bunch of them that I found in random places.

I found a partially damaged Have a Day calendar about 5 yrs ago and gave it to my son. He loved it! I really would like to get the 2013 calendar for him for Christmas. Please make them available again!
