OCTOBER 2007
It’s getting a little colder outside, which means the “squirrels” are getting more squirrelly, and people are looking at calendars for the coming new year. Unfortunately, two of my calendars aren’t getting play on the internet, which bums me out. But I am excited about our latest “America’s Most Wanted” calendar. I think it’s gotten better every year.

And here’s some of my latest posters…

As always, thanks to everyone who ever bought a poster from us, you guys are keeping the quotes around my “job”.

FEBRUARY 2007
Barry (our pet orangutan) has already eaten all of our chocolate reserves. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal, because, well, the supermarket is only a 1/2 mile away. But it’s February, and every year we spend the entire month indoors. We hole up like misguided squirrels and we burrow. I’ve been in front of this computer for 38 hours straight. So I can tell you that you guys have some good posters coming for the summer. In the meantime, here are a few that were recently printed!
And I also wanted to share that we redid the “Have a Day” posters! These are the best incarnation yet, and I just absolutely love these posters. Check ‘em out, they are great.
Thanks to everyone who ever bought a poster from us, you guys are keeping me doing a job that I really love.

NOVEMBER 2006
Hey everyone, it’s November first and we’re hoping you had as good a Halloween as we did this year. I dressed up as an intern for Steve Zissou (from the movie “The Life Aquatic”), and was treated to some great parties from my friends in Kutztown. Anyway, what I got for you guys is 2007 Calendars. This year we have two “Have a Day” calendars, the wall calendar which we put our stories into, and a Page-a-Day which we put an animation into. Of course, we also got our “America’s Most Wanted” calendar which features world class photography, really the best you can find, of budding plants. We take a lot of pride in doing great work here, and I promise that you will be delighted in the details we put into our calendars for 2007…

AUGUST 2006
This summer we’ve been working hard on a poster set to be released beginning early 2007. Well, that and heading to the beach as much as we can on the weekends. We have about 10-14 new designs that we are very excited about! Anyway, college is just around the corner and we wanted to show some of our best selling college posters here on the main page!

JULY 2006
Just a quick update today. We are very pleased to announce the reprinting of a newer version of our popular “Periodic Table of Beer Styles” poster. We also have a “Periodic Table of Wine” poster that we are trying to sell through at Allposters that makes a perfect match to the “Periodic Table of Beer Styles” below. As always thanks a gazillion for all your support!

Ok, I think we can now say we’re official. Now we can get picky. If anything bothers you about the site, let us know.
Things here are good at the Mantis HQ. Barry (our pet orangutan) has found a new limb, and the cleaner robots seem to be working just fine (for once). Anyway, here’s the latest release!

MAY 2006
Hello and welcome to the beta version of our new website! Hopefully the surfing is pleasant, but if you come across some choppy waves please give us an email and we’ll try to fix it as soon as we can. We’ve added our latest posters, given you guys the ability to comment on our products, and also added a section called “Licensed Posters” These are posters we design that our publisher NMR/Aquarius Licenses, like Rock Bands, TV Shows, and Movies etc…
NEW POSTERS:
We will be adding new posters four times a year, and probably will have another set on this site sometime in June. For now, these are the latest new posters:
Knowing Lee |
Scoop on Poop |
Relationship Rules |
Room Rulez |
Guiding a Dream |
Licensed POSTERS:
We’ve been designing posters for our publisher NMR/Aquarius for some time now, and we will be adding another healthy set soon, which will feature “The Family Guy”. We enjoy working on these projects, and we hope to expand our business into two units, one working on Licensed Design, the other on our “Mantis” Posters, Calendars and other Products.

POSTING COMMENTS:
Now you can post comments on any of the posters you want to. Your comments are monitored, so they won’t appear immediately. I will be checking the comments once a week, Thursdays, so they should appear by Friday of each week. I am pretty much gonna post any comment positive or negative, but will not allow swearing or flaming. I look forward to hearing any of your thoughts, or jokes, or weirdness.
LAST WORD:
I just want to say thank you to all of the people who have helped along the way. That includes good friends who helped roll posters in my parents basement to fans who wrote us a cool letter and gave us that little added bit of inspiration.
Thanks,
Gerald / Head Honcho / Mantis Design

Can a poster be custmized with a company logo. They would make great gifts to business associates.

Though I’ve never done this before, I wouldn’t rule it out. It really would depend on the amount of posters involved in the promotion.

I really like the David Hasselhoff poster, but as a connoisseur of all things hirsute, I’d like to see more chest hair. That’s just me.

I am in the Forensics field and I am interested on a poster with fingerprint images and/or crime scenes. Do you have anything like that or are you planning on ever creating such a poster?

Hi! I absolutely love your “Have A Day” Calendars and Posters, I found it a few years back, and I have been excited to buy a calendar of “Have a Day” ever since, but I noticed last year that I could not find the “Have A Day” Calendar, and am having a hard time finding it this year as well? Can you let me know what the scoop is on that? I live for these posters and calendars!
